At Aizpurua, we love bringing people together, discovering new places, and creating unforgettable memories—but we are equally passionate about cinema and the stories that take us on extraordinary journeys.
With the arrival of the San Sebastián International Film Festival (Zinemaldia), Donostia dresses up for the occasion and becomes a gathering place for film lovers. That is why we want to mark this special occasion by sharing how the worlds of cinema and Aizpurua cross paths every single day.
Visiting Picture-Perfect Locations
Over the years, our coaches have logged thousands of kilometers taking travelers to locations that have graced the big screen:
- The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966): The landscapes of the Tabernas Desert in Almería and the countryside of Burgos transport us directly into the iconic Spaghetti Western.
- Lawrence of Arabia (1962): An unforgettable blockbuster filmed in breathtaking settings like Seville’s Plaza de España and the dunes of Almería.
- Doctor Zhivago (1965): The frozen Russian steppes came to life much closer to home, with much of the film shot between Madrid and the chilly expanses of Soria.
- Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002): Seville’s majestic Plaza de España was transformed into the planet Naboo’s royal palace for George Lucas’s universe.
- Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989): The adventures of cinema’s most famous archaeologist came alive across Mónsul Beach and the Almería desert.
Behind the Scenes: Transporting the Magic of Cinema
Our commitment to film goes beyond taking moviegoers to visit famous filming locations. We also collaborate directly with film production companies to handle shooting logistics.
Moving technical crews, cast members, wardrobe, and production equipment requires punctuality, flexibility, and absolute safety. A prime example of this was our collaboration on the production of ‘La luz’ (2026).
